Dignity in practice: an exploration of care of older adults in acute NHS trusts
The aim of this study by PANICOA was to develop evidence-based guidance for policies and practice to promote dignified care. The study shows that the majority of the staff interviewed are motivated to represent patients’ interests but these motivations are frequently compromised by systemic and organisational factors.
